Makhana is full of nutrients. It has aproximately 10% protein of excellent quality amino acids. It has approximately 14% fibre and free of fat and cholesterol.

Makhana in Raw form has moisture content of approx 20%. If you try to eat you will find it floppy. If you want to eat it as Snacks then it has to be roasted in Butter or Ghee. After roasting salt and peeper is sparkled on the Makhana.
